Setup is not as hard as you think
If you’re like most people, you probably think that setting up a new piece of gaming equipment is going to be a huge pain. We’re here to tell you that it’s not as bad as you think! The Steelseries Arctis Edition is a great wireless gaming headset that comes with all the bells and whistles you need to get started.
The first thing you’ll need to do is make sure your computer has the proper connections. The Steelseries Arctis Edition uses a USB dongle to connect to your PC. Once you have that plugged in, you’ll be able to download the SteelSeries Engine 3 software which will walk you through the rest of the setup process.
Once the software is installed, you can begin customizing your audio experience. You can choose from a variety of different EQ presets, or create your own custom settings. You can also adjust the ChatMix feature to control how much of your game audio and chat audio you want to hear.

Pros and Cons
When it comes to comfort, the Steelseries Arctis 9X truly takes the cake. It’s one of the most comfortable headsets we’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing for extended gaming sessions. The ear cups are nicely padded and contour well to the shape of your head, while the adjustable headband ensures a snug, yet comfortable fit. We never felt any discomfort even after wearing it for hours on end.
The sound quality is also top-notch. The Arctis 9X features 50mm drivers that deliver rich, immersive audio that really brings games to life. Whether you’re playing an intense shooter or exploring a beautiful open world, you’ll be able to hear all the little details that you might’ve missed with other headsets.
The only downside to the Arctis 9X is that it doesn’t come with any built-in chat functionality. So, if you want to chat with your friends while you game, you’ll need to connect a separate chat headset or use Discord/Skype on your phone. But other than that, this is an excellent wireless gaming headset that we highly recommend.
